About Me
I am Anni, a photographer and a journalist.
I am interested in people and their stories. I believe that by telling and showing peoples' stories, you can tell about wider phenomena and evoke empathy and understanding in the audience. I do visual storytelling and writing for both my own projects and media companies.
Education
I did my bachelor in photojournalism in the University of Tampere 2016.
In 2016 I did an Erasmus exchange in the University of Bologna in Italy and studied political sciences.
I'm currently doing my master in journalism in the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
Experience
I have worked as a photographer and a photo editor for the Finnish News Agency, STT, summers 2015, 2016 and 2017.
My photographs have been published in dozens of Finnish newspapers, including the biggest, Helsingin Sanomat. My work has appeared also in foreign media, as the New York Times.
Services
I work as a freelance photographer, currently in the Netherlands. I'm open for cooperation and projects or gigs for magazines or private persons. Apart from journalistic work I've photographed weddings and events.
